charm school

FAQ

Do I need any special skills or experience?

Not a bit! You can dive right in with no experience and create beautiful resin charms!

It does require a steady hand and working close-up with small objects. If you have vision or dexterity disabilities, let's talk about how to make accommodations.

How many students can attend charm school?

At my home, I can accommodate 8 crafters.

At your home or event space, classes can be from 6-12. It's recommended all should be able to sit around a single table.

What age is charm school appropriate for?

Ages 12 and up!

What is the cost?

There is a 6-person minimum

Party of six: $270/$45 per person

Party of 7-12: $40 per person

What's included?

Sample email invitation for you to send to your guests.

Demonstration, instruction, and guidance for creating resin charms.

All supplies, including jump rings, earring hooks, and cord necklaces.

Use of pop-up mini tabletop photo "studio" to take photos of your completed charms.

For events in your home or event space: table covers, set-up, and clean-up.

Social Media graphics to promote your event can be arranged for an additional fee.

How long is charm school?

3 hours!

At your home or event space, I'll need 30 minutes of set-up and clean-up at no extra charge.

How many charms can we expect to make?

Crafters average 3-5 charms.

Where is charm school held?

I can welcome up to 8 crafters in my home in San Anselmo.

I can bring the class to you at no additional charge within Marin County.

Outside Marin, there is a travel rate of $.75 per mile each way.

What do I need to host at my home?

A table and chairs that will accommodate all of your guests and has access to an electrical outlet.

Did you say fundraiser?

Yes, I did! Host a party to raise funds for your organization!

Fundraisers require a minimum of 12 crafters.

50% of the fees will be donated to the organization of our choice!

Are the resin and UV light safe?

The materials are perfectly safe in the amount and time we'll be using them in Charm School, and it's easier to work with the materials with bare hands.

The materials *can* be irritating to skin, and exposure to fumes *can* pose risk to crafters with compromised immunity or lung conditions.

If you're more comfortable with a mask and gloves, they can be provided at no extra charge.

The charms are cool, but what can you do with them?

They can be strung on a cord or chain and worn as a necklace, added to a keyring, and are light enough for earrings!

They also make personal and meaningful "good luck charms" that can be tucked into a purse, wallet, drawer, or jewelry box.
